WebJan 21, 2024 · Hello - I created a section plane from a mesh and wanted to export the resulting sketch object but I want to be able to select, modify, then export the sketch object to a .dxf. I did notice the lock icon on the sketch object but this was created automatically with the section plane. Thanks! WebJan 3, 2024 · Thanks for posting and welcome to the Fusion 360 community! To subtract or cut away from a mesh, you can use either the "Plane Cut" or "Separate" tools in the Mesh workspace. I have shown a brief example of this in the screencast below. WebSep 27, 2024 · Thanks for the plugin. It works well, but I think it has been to some degree superseeded by the built-in ability to "create mesh section sketch"? This function also creates a sketch with the intersection, that you can then subsequently fit e.g. with a spline. It does, though, take bit more work, but you then also get better / simpler results. WebDec 16, 2024 · The diagonal across your mesh object measures approximately 0.3 mm. Is that really the size you need ? Trying to create sketch profiles and then loft to get a solid or surface is likely not going to work or will cause a lot of headaches.

You will probably want to just do one tooth, and then pattern that around a disc.
