Eyewitnesses are reporting up to 80 percent of the town was leveled, and thousands are streaming to the school seeking medical help. WebMay 12, 2014 · Haiti has a long way to go before this vision is reality. The country has many nursing schools, but of those, only a handful are public, and only 32 are recognized by the Haitian Ministry of Health. The country is just beginning to implement a standardized curriculum and to introduce specialties to help nurses advance in providing complex care.
