WebJul 9, 2024 · HBOGo and HBOMax on TVs have always sucked as far as user experience is concerned. I've sued the apps on Xbox and Roku. Ho-hum UI, buggy streaming, crashing, etc. The mobile version works great, unless you're casting/streaming to your TV, and then it's just as crappy as the Roku. I wouldn't pay for it if it weren't included with my internet. WebJun 7, 2024 · HBO should be ashamed of this app. I have a Sharp Roku TV. Every other app works fine. Netflix, Peacock, Prime Video. No problems. Just now, once again, HBO Max didn't just crash, it shut my tv off & it took five minutes to get it to work again. I have taken to watching HBO Max content on my 15 inch Chromebook. Garbage app.
