Or at least both were derived from the same source material, a Norse legend set in the early 900s about the revenge of a prince upon the uncle who murdered his father and wed his mother. WebThe protagonist, Amleth, is so universally relatable, in that he's a cool and stoic badass on the outside, but seems to have deeper humanity on the inside. He's morally conflicted throughout the movie as he rampages through villages and slaughters peasants left and right, but you understand his desire for revenge.
